Australian Electricity Production by Energy Source

This chart shows where Australia’s electricity came from over the last three days.

You’ll notice that solar isn’t shown as an energy source. I wish I could label it here amongst the rest. It has been reported that Australians have installed so many solar panels, that their output is equal to all of the wind turbines combined.

No method for estimating solar

Unfortunately I haven’t got a good way to collect or estimate solar panel output, that is why you won’t see it on this chart. Some very small sized generators are also missing from the chart, but their combined output is much less than wind or solar so it won’t make much difference to the total result.

Is the chart not loading for you?

The graphing software that I’m using only supports the latest version of Internet Explorer. Those of you on older versions may not see the chart at all.
