Privacy Policy

1. Overview

CleanBowled ("the App") is developed and maintained by Whit ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains our practices — which, in short, amount to collecting nothing. We built CleanBowled to be a private, on-device coaching tool, and we intend to keep it that way.

This policy applies to all versions of CleanBowled available on the Apple App Store and to this support website.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

The following table summarises the data types commonly collected by mobile apps, and our position on each:

In plain terms: no data leaves your device to us or any third party. There are no hidden data pipelines, no "anonymous" telemetry, no aggregated reporting.

3. On-Device Processing

All of CleanBowled's computer vision, ball-tracking, speed calculation, and annotation work happens locally on your iPhone or iPad using Apple's on-device frameworks. Your videos, your clips, and your performance data are yours — stored in your device's local storage and, if you choose to enable it, your personal iCloud account.

We have no server infrastructure that receives video or performance data. We have no ability to access, view, or retrieve any content you create within the App.

4. Camera & Photo Library Permissions

CleanBowled requests access to your device's camera and photo library solely to record and analyse cricket deliveries. This permission is used exclusively within the App for the purposes you direct. We do not copy, transmit, or store your media anywhere outside your device.

You may revoke these permissions at any time via Settings → CleanBowled on your device.

5. Support Contact & Voluntary Communication

The only circumstance in which we become aware of you as an individual is if you choose to contact us for support. When you do:

We will use only the information you voluntarily provide in that communication — such as your name and email address — for the sole purpose of responding to and resolving your support request. We will not add you to any mailing list, share your details with third parties, or use your information for any purpose beyond helping you. Once your query is resolved, we have no reason to retain that information and treat it accordingly.

6. Third-Party Services

CleanBowled does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, social login, or data-broker services. The App does not contain Facebook SDK, Google Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Crashlytics, Segment, or equivalent frameworks.

App purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple's own privacy policy governs that transaction. We receive no financial or personal details from Apple beyond what Apple provides to developers as part of standard App Store sales reporting, which contains no personally identifiable information.

7. Children's Privacy

Because CleanBowled collects no data from anyone, it has no special privacy implications for users under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). The App is suitable for use by players of all ages.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we ever change our privacy practices — which we cannot foresee happening given our commitment to zero data collection — we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date at the top. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

9. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes arising in connection with this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
